SOLD OUT

Baluk Wurrung is a 104 page hardcover book published by Baluk Arts featuring personal stories and artwork of Aboriginal artists from 11 to over 60 years old from Frankston, Dandenong and the Mornington Peninsula.

Baluk Wurrung are ancient Aboriginal words of the languages of the Kulin nation of Victoria that refer to the clan or extended family group and what is spoken from the lips. The title Baluk Wurrung was chosen to describe story that comes from the lips; story that is told; story that is spoken. The stories in Baluk Wurrung were told by contributors by oral interview and give a glimpse into the lives of Aboriginal people in South Eastern Melbourne.

Foreword written by Richard J Frankland - "I encourage the reader to go on the journey with the authors, to close your eyes, open your hearts and and walk with these story tellers on their amazing dreaming paths”.
