This work is part of a series of work by Patrice expressing herself as a product of Australian policy, Government acts, laws and historical events. Patrice has communicated the effect of general policy regarding the treatment of Aboriginal people, the ripple effect that this creates and understanding her identity in contemporary Australia.

These works were created with ochres from various places which were harvested culturally and traded with other mobs. The orange is from the Grampians, and the white is from Geelong. By claiming back traditions of trade and mining ochre, Patrice has gone back to the source to accept and further understand her Aboriginal identity and what it means to her.
