“The Tamar is a place where palawa people camped and lived, as there was plentiful supply of fish, shellfish and game. I have discovered periwinkle shells in caves a long time ago, so that signifies that they would’ve been a source of food”. The landscape of the Tamar River has great cultural and spiritual significance to Nick and features across several of his artworks. This piece is a combination of acrylic and oil painting on unstretched canvas.
