“This painting tells the stories of my family and our connection to Wakaman Country in North Queensland. The patterns and marking in the background represent our Wiradjuri Marking and patterns. You can see our Bora Grounds and Totems with the markings of the Wiradjuri.  These markings are symbolic to the Wiradjuri and identify us to who we are and where we come from. The Ulysses Butterfly of North Queensland represents our family connection to that country.”
