There are spirits and ancestors occupying every inch of this Country. Unsettled, taken from their homes, all we still grieve for today. Aunty Marice shows us the presence of those spirits, who spiral up from the earth in our own backyards. These are Bunurong ancestors, many of whom were killed or displaced during the frontier wars. Their presence remains felt on this Country; Aunty Marice reminds us of our duty to recognise and listen to them.
