Maylan is a protector of Land, Culture, Stories and people and it is Maylan who keeps us safe from harm. Our Culture is intertwined with the Land and our meeting places our Bora Grounds. These Bora Grounds are carved into the land to mark and identify these sites which are of great Cultural and Spiritual significance to the Waradjuri.

It is at these Bora Grounds we come together to pass on  our stories and our Culture  to the next generation. It is Maylan role as the custodian of Waradjuri Culture and Stories to ensure that this custom and practice is maintained.”
